Academics

At St. Teresa’s Public School, our CBSE-aligned curriculum is designed to provide comprehensive learning opportunities that recognize and celebrate the uniqueness of every student. We focus on the learner’s journey, employing diverse teaching methodologies to help each individual reach their full potential.

Educational Philosophy & Mission
Our mission is to guide students to bloom intellectually and spiritually, transforming them into versatile personalities. We emphasize the overall development of a child’s potential moving beyond traditional rote learning to foster critical thinking, social etiquette, and communication skills.

Examination & Evaluation
In strict adherence to the CBSE evaluation pattern, our academic year is structured to ensure continuous progress through a balanced examination cycle.

Four-Exam Cycle:
The academic year is divided into two terms, featuring two Periodic Tests (PTs) and two Major Examinations (Half-Yearly and Annual). This system allows for consistent monitoring and reduces the pressure of a single year-end exam.

Weekly Class Tests:
To ensure that students grasp concepts in real-time, we conduct weekly assessments that identify learning gaps immediately and build regular study habits.

 Internal Assessment & Practical Learning
Beyond written examinations, we implement a robust Internal Assessment system as mandated by the CBSE. This ensures a 360-degree evaluation of a student’s progress.

Subject Enrichment Activities – Includes map work, speaking and listening skills (ASL), and lab experiments.

Portfolio Maintenance – Students are encouraged to maintain a record of their best work, projects, and assignments.

Multiple Assessments – Diverse techniques such as quizzes, oral tests, and group discussions are used to evaluate understanding.

Future-Ready: Robotics & Technology
We believe in preparing our students for the 21st century. Robotics is an integral part of our academic curriculum, providing students with hands-on experience in:

STEM Integration – Combining Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics through practical builds.

Coding & logic – Developing computational thinking and problem-solving skills from a young age.

Innovation lab – A dedicated space where students design and program robots, fostering creativity and technical proficiency.

 Holistic growth parameters
Individual development is tracked through the LACC Assessment sheet, where students earn “stars” based on performance in key areas.
